World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft has just had its 2nd and newest expantion realised about last month called Wrath of the Lich king and to be honest in my oppinion it has saved the wow comunity. In the new expantion they have introduced siege gear that can destroy buildings and dragon mounts. Also they have introduced alot more kind of shops like barbers, locksmiths and etc. Plus they have upgraded your professions so you can make more things and so on. Plus they have made it easier and faster to make gold for epic flying mounts and so on.

Why are MMORPG's so great?
As most gamers know one of the big forms of online gaming is Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG's) and in this blog im going to explain why in my opinion they are great.
First you may know what MMORPG's stand for but do you know what i mean by massive multiplayer role playing games well the biggest example probberly at the moment is world of warcraft. World of Warcraft is a 4 year old game now wich has more than 8 billion subscribers its that poppular. For those who dont know what you do in game's in like World of Warcraft in that well im about to say for you.
On MMORPG's you basicly start off at a character creaction screen and you choose the type of character you want to go male or female and also you would choose like your class or profession if you know what i mean. If you dont well a class or proffesion is like the type of character you want to go like a tank that takes alot of damage or a dps character that does damage per second or a Healer who basicly keeps players and them self alive and when you advance through the games youll realise what the importance of your character's class is for Player verses Player or Player verses Enviroment.
Ok for example ill use World of Warcraft since its most poppular MMORPG at the moment and since i have basicly going all the way in the game also. First of all you need to choose what type of server and game play you want for your gaming expierence and what i mean is Do you want Player Verses Player Server (PvP), Player verses Enviroment server (PVE) or Role Playing server (RP). PvP is basicly for players who wanna team up with others most the time and fight other people from opposing groups and Alliances players for honor points or pvp points to get better armour and gear and even mounts. On wow you have the chance to do Battle Grounds for alot of pvp honour and bages to spend on gear and your battle grounds are like capture the flag or capture enemy bases for resources or capture bases to weaken your enemys reinforcements and army then kill the enemys field leader. PvE servers are for people who wanna meet other people and do like 4 hour raids on Npc bases for epic gear and explore the game world and do instances or dungeons for better gear and also you can get mounts but by paying with gold that you recieve by killing Npc's. RP servers are basicly what the name explains you role play your character while playing the game but your rp servers are 2 choices RPPVP or RPPVE. All servers can do pve and pvp activities also.
Also there are other games you can get that are pve and pvp and rp mmorpgs but more based on either like pvp or pve or even rp for example you get Age of Conan that is more PvP based and the most goriest MMORPG out there also has best game play for Melie classes but the Casting classes are just the same as other MMORPG's. Also you get Warhammer that is like PvP based aswell but based on Warhammer it self. Then you get MMORPG's that are like Sci-fi for example EvE-Online and that game is about you being a future spaceship pilot and exploring space with friends and haveing giant space battles over teritory. Last but not least you have Star Wars Galaxies a 5 year old game based on the films and what you have to do is join empire or rebelian and tema up with othe rplayers and build skills and help ur fraction win the war.
So why do i think MMORPG's are great well for one its great how you can meet alot of people all over the world and can have alot of good friends. Two it has helped people gain money saving skills and keeps youngsters away from drugs since there mind occupied on the game. Three the Games are all updated every month so you never run out of things to do.Also you get a free month usually to try the game out. Plus all MMORPG companys hide your bank details on account page and have ingame support to decuss your problems with and help you sort them.
Even though that all sounds great but what are the downfalls? Well most MMORPG's give you a monthly or fee to pay or every 6 months and most atm are about £8.99 except games Like SWG its tht big and all the information prob biggest game ever to be created is £20 pounds but in that you make citys with friends have homes and basicly swg is you living on a star wars universe. Also another downfall most MMORPG's are on Pc's now and all the newer ones require graphics card with atleast 6600 geforce to even run the game. Also hackers will be tyring to hack your account.
Now you know about what MMORPG's and that its time to know about what the best part of playing a MMORPG is and that is when you meat other players apart of the servers comunity because you can make alot of real friends there and really have a good time playing with other people on these Giant MMORPG worlds.
